How many times have you prayed and asked God for a miracle? If you’re like me, when you find yourself between a rock and a hard space, you realize how dependent you are on God. As your weakness becomes clear, you cry out for Him to intervene in His strength. Everyone wants to be recipients of miracles but what we don’t want is to be in a place where we need them. However, If we lived problem-free lives, we would never be able to see God’s power to part the waves and deliver us.
One of the best things endurance events has taught me is to overcome fears. The fear of failure, fear of pain, fear of the unknown, and more than once the fear of dying! What I didn’t understand at the time was that my fears were illusions that attempted to keep me from living life to the full. When I stepped out in faith, I found the fear that had previously held me captive, lost all of its power over me. When fear lost its power, I became free to start living in the miracle zone. Since God specializes in miracles, I like to call it God’s playground! My faith became a Fantastic Adventure In Trusting Him!
The best thing about the miracle zone is it changes how you think. The previous thoughts of I can’t are replaced with I can. You realize you truly can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Jesus takes us from faith to faith and the more we obediently follow Him, the more our faith grows and we are allowed to participate in adventures that many are too scared to experience. Whether it’s leading someone to Christ, learning a new skill, starting a business, or signing up for a challenging race, you can rest in God’s adequacy and strength as you start moving. Faith is the vehicle that drives you to your miracle!
Faith is the vehicle that drives you to your miracle!
Remember, faith honors God. He wants us to see miracles everywhere as we trust in Him. He desires for us to show up and participate in all He has equipped us to do. The Bible tell us, “Do Not fear” over 365 times. That’s one for every day of the year! Faith or fear is a daily choice that each of us must make. My prayer for you is that you would introduce your fear to your great, mighty, all powerful God and and watch it flee as you dance in God’s playground.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
– Psalm 34:4
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9
